Northern Cape's Namakwa 4x4 Eco Trail offers both the challenge and the reward that makes it the ultimate trail for nature enthusiasts and 4x4 drivers.  

 

The challenge is the Northern Cape’s rugged, isolated semi-desert terrain. The route, divided into two packages, is over 600 kilometres long and you will negotiate gravel, sand, rock, and travel ancient river beds, mountain passes and testing dunes.

 

The rewards are the driving thrills, the awesome arid landscapes, the Succulent Karoo biodiversity hotspot and remote camping under the stars alongside the mighty Orange River.
